The YONEX Swiss Open 2025 was a badminton tournament that took place from March 18 to March 23, 2025, in Basel, Switzerland, at the St. Jakobshalle.
It was part of the BWF World Tour and classified as a Super 300 event which offered a total prize money of USD 250,000, as well as important qualifying points for the 2025 BWF World Championships in Paris. The Swiss Open has a long history, with the 2025 edition being the 62nd edition of the tournament.
China was the most successful nation, winning four of the five categories (Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles) and Thailand secured the Men’s Doubles title.

- Mixed Doubles: Feng Yanzhe / Wei Ya Xin (CHINA)
This victory marked Weng Hong Yang’s (ranked No. 17 at the time) first BWF World Tour title of the year and the second of his career.
Chen Yufei, the 5th seed and world number 2 at the time, secured the title in a straight-game victory against the unseeded Line Kjærsfeldt, who was ranked 25th. She ended a title drought with this victory, her last title being the 2023 Indonesia Open. This was Chen Yufei’s first BWF World Tour title of the year and her second career win at the Swiss Open, her first being in 2019.
This victory marked Kittinupong Kedren and Dechapol Puavaranukroh’s maiden BWF World Tour title. It was also the first time since the tournament’s inception in 1955 that Thailand had won the men’s doubles title at the Swiss Open.
Liu Sheng Shu and Tan Ning, the top seeds and world number one, were considered the favorites but Jia Yi Fan and Zhang Shu Xian, seeded fifth, displayed great resilience and teamwork to secure the title. This win marked the first Swiss Open title for Yi/Zhang.
This victory marked a significant milestone for the fifth-seeded Chinese pair Feng Yanzhe and Wei Yaxin, who were ranked 146th in the world at the time. Their triumph at the Swiss Open followed a strong showing at the All England Open, where they finished as runners-up.
